I was under a considerable amount of stress this last semester of school, and still recovering from the breakup that inspired "Pessimist." Surprisingly, I found my burdens much easier to carry when I realized they were going to be there regardless. This song makes another reference to "Tubthumping" and also alludes to the Mel Brooks classic, "The Producers," about two of the best floaters on record.
